Thankful I am

"No! No different. Only different in your mind. You must unlearn what you have learned." This from the great Yoda.

Learning I am to be thankful for big things and little things.

For the decreasing blood sugar level of my father. My early mornings of blood testing and nightly medicine preparations are paying off. Now, if he would only learn not to eat a lot of forbidden fruits.

For the cute entrepreneurial cono I see whenever I go through Glorietta. Thank God for refreshing faces. :- )

For a great Swedish and Shiatsu massage on Valentine's day. I am single, yes, but better to be as such than to be with someone and miserable.

For single friends who greet you Happy Single Awareness Day or plan gimmicks together.

For articles in the ChristianityToday that help teach me to unlearn confining ideas.

For having eyes that can see, feet that can walk, and a heart that can care.

For a patient God who waits while you go through a "phase" in your life.

From the one who greeted you Happy Single Awareness day, here's wishing that God continues to remind you of things you could be thankful for. :)

Lion Chaser Manifesto

Quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death. Set God-sized goals. Pursue God-ordained passions. Go after a dream that is destined to fail without divine intervention. Keep asking questions. Keep making mistakes. Keep seeking God. Stop pointing out problems and become part of the solution. Stop repeating the past and start creating the future. Stop playing it safe and start taking risks. Expand your horizons. Accumulate experiences. Enjoy the journey. Find every excuse you can to celebrate everything you can. Live like today is the first day and last day of your life. Don't let what's wrong with you keep you from worshiping what's right with God. Burn sinful bridges. Blaze new trails. Criticize by creating. Worry less about what people think and more about what God thinks. Don't try to be who you're not. Be yourself. Laugh at yourself. Quit holding out. Quit holding back. Quit running away.

Chase the lion.
